Teen with disability attacked at school in Argentina

A teenager with a disability is hospitalized after being attacked by a classmate at a school in the coastal city of Mar del Plata, Argentina. The parents reported that this is not the first time such an aggression has occurred.

The incident took place in the courtyard of Municipal School No. 204, where the victim, identified as Ludmila, who suffers from hemiparesis and uses a cerebral shunt, was attacked by Morena.

The victim's mother spoke with the Noticias Argentina news agency and confirmed that her daughter "is fine, thank God, with minor injuries," while she remains admitted to the Interzonal General de Agudos (HIGA) Hospital. At the hospital, the families of the classmates protested and demanded urgent measures to prevent more violent situations.

In this regard, Yohanna stated that "everything happened overnight," as on Thursday, April 26, "she pushed her down the stairs, said 'sorry' in a mocking tone, and it was on Friday that she was attacked."

Furthermore, she reported that it is the "fifth time" that the main protagonist of the beating has harassed her classmates at the institution.
